John T. Landry started painting at age 64. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys spending time in the marshes near his beloved Pecan Island camp, Marshview Lodge. He enjoys impressionist painting in both oil and acrylics and his subject matter is quite diverse. Inspired by nature and beautiful landscapes, he paints a varied spectrum of subjects. After retiring from two separate careers, he was inspired to take up painting by watching the glorious sunrises and sunsets from his Pecan Island camp deck.
His exhibits include The Big Easel,Gallery 549, Chase Tower, The Gallery at River Ranch, Art for All Seasons and Sugar Mill Pond. He is an award-winning photographer and a member of the Lafayette Art Association.
